Fishing News

Many weeks have been spent removing overhanging trees and branches and clearing scrub away from the swims.  A couple of hard weeks were spent cutting and shaping over 60 sleepers and then pile driving them into the lake along the length of both dams.

Wooden shuttering has now been attached to the sleepers ready to be back filled using the hardcore currently piled at the bottom of the paddock, which should happen fairly soon.

The Angling Trust

West Compton Manor Lakes have recently joined the Angling Trust, which is the representative body for game, coarse and sea anglers in England.  Their membership fees help to support the campaigns and legal action they carry out to protect fish stocks and their programmes to increase the number of anglers fishing for fun and in competitions.  They are fighting for the future of our fishing and they need our support to do more.  They also work to stop illegal fishing, protect anglers rights, improving habitats, fight pollution and promote and developing angling.

West Comoton Manor will offer 10% off syndicate membership to all members of the Angling Trust.
