Whether it's a romantic weekend away or a peaceful break in the country to walk or paint, West Compton Manor is the ideal place to relax and unwind.  Set on a small private estate surrounded by beautiful country and only a few minutes from the beaches of Dorset's famous Jurassic coast, the manor house and grounds are being lovingly restored to provide luxurious accommodation in a charming and quintessentially English style.

There are a selection of rooms available and most needs can be catered for, including those of any four legged friends.

All bed and breakfast guests are offered exclusive access to our private coarse fishing lakes and purchasing a £15 ticket allows you to fish for the duration of your stay, at any time day or night.  The lakes are situated only a couple of minutes walk from the house and we can prepare a picnic lunch for you to eat at the lake side... it couldn't be more convenient!

Staying in Dorset

Staying in a Dorset bed and breakfast can be lots of fun, as there literally hundreds of tourist attractions in Dorset, ranging from local craft fairs and farmers markets, to a huge selection of museums.  Some ideas of things to do in the local area are listed on the tourist attractions page of this website.... there's something for everyone!

West Compton Manor bed and breakfast is conveniently located just off the A35, almost half way between the busy market town of Bridport with it's wonderful Antiques Quarter and Saturday market and the county capital of Dorchester.  We are also only ten minutes from the A37 providing fast access to the extensive shopping facilities of Yeovil, Sherborne, Shaftesbury and beyond.  Beaminster, Crewkerne, Cattistock, Cerne Abbas and Sydling St Nicholas are all pretty local towns and easy to get to. 

We may be a Dorset bed and breakfast, but Somerset and Devon are also with in 30 to 40 minute drive!
